Joliet Catholic Academy names students of the month

Joliet Catholic Academy recently announced its Students of the Month for March and April.

The March Students of the Month: Olivia Adamic (Kiwanis Club), Patrick Duffy (Rotary Club), and Rachel Hobbs (Lions Club).

The April Students of the Month: Jacob Chignoli (Kiwanis Club), Jillian Gray (Rotary Club), and Nicolas Ragusa (Lions Club).

Each club recognized the senior students at a monthly luncheon or webinar.

JCA March Students of the Month

Olivia Adamic, daughter of Walter and Donna Adamic of Joliet, currently has a 4.79 GPA in JCA honors and Advanced Placement classes. Adamic is a graduate of St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Grade School and parishioner of the Cathedral of St. Raymond.

Patrick Duffy, son of William and Kathleen Duffy of Joliet, currently has a 4.43 GPA in JCA honors and Advanced Placement classes. Duffy is a graduate of Troy Middle School in Shorewood and a parishioner of St. Jude in Joliet.

Rachel Hobbs, daughter of Mark and Heather Hobbs of Wilmington, currently has a 3.96 GPA in JCA honors and dual-credit classes. Hobbs is a graduate and parishioner of St. Rose Catholic School and Parish in Wilmington.

JCA April Students of the Month

Jacob Chignoli, son of Bill and Karen Chignoli of Joliet, currently has a 4.68 GPA in JCA honors and AP classes. Chignoli is a graduate and parishioner of the Cathedral of St. Raymond. He plans to attend the University of Illinois or the University of Iowa to major in finance or accounting.

Jillian Gray, daughter of Eric and Kim Gray of New Lenox, currently has a 4.68 GPA in JCA honors classes. Gray is a graduate of Liberty Junior High in New Lenox and a member of St. Mary Magdalene Parish in Joliet. She has accepted a volleyball scholarship to Georgia Southern University and plans to major in business or recreation.

Nicolas Ragusa, son of Sherry and Mark Ragusa of Joliet, currently has a 4.70 GPA in JCA honors classes. Ragusa is a graduate and parishioner of the Cathedral of St. Raymond. He plans to attend the University of Nebraska or Arizona State University to study computer science.
